What Is An Office Visit Like?

In many ways, it is similar to the type of visit you would expect when seeing any other doctor: the reason for your visit will be discussed, a physical exam performed, and a treatment plan will be developed to help address your needs. The main difference is there will be a more in-depth examination of your neuromusculoskeletal systems combined with the ability of Dr. Bowers to use her knowledge of functional anatomy and expertise in hands-on manipulation to help find and treat areas of your body that are not moving as well as they should be (for example: tight muscles or decreased mobility of joints).  Treatment usually consists of hands-on manipulation, instruction on appropriate stretches and exercises, suggestions regarding diet and lifestyle choices, and occasionally recommendations for lab tests, imaging studies, medication, durable medical equipment, or referral to another healthcare professional.
